  • Last month, a group of wine enthusiasts from across the globe came together to take part in the award-winning immersive program, Bordeaux Mentor Week. From hundreds of applicants, eight participants travelled to Bordeaux to be immersed in the iconic wine region.   Bordeaux Mentor Week, founded by Jane Anson and Chinedu Rita ROSA, focus’ on advocating for equality, inclusion and access in the global wine industry and provides mentorship and education opportunities to young professionals from around the world. A truly impactful program in its fourth year, Bordeaux Mentor Week provides a great opportunity for participants to connect, expand their networks, build on their knowledge, and in some instances, experience their first international trip.    We were excited to support this year’s program by offering one of the participants an opportunity to further expand their knowledge and experience two world renowned wine regions by taking part in an Penfolds Immersion Experience in Australia in 2026. Congratulations to Roxanne D'Souza who has been selected for this immersion. We look forward to welcoming you at our spiritual home, Magill Estate.

  • Earlier this year, the Barossa Farmers Market, located in South Australia, launched their Kitchen Library project, and began delivering workshops to support the local community in managing their own food security in a more sustainable way   The Kitchen Library acts as a hub for community, connection, information, and knowledge through the provision of food preparation equipment and educational workshops designed to connect people to healthy, seasonal, and local produce while optimising their capacity, reducing reliance on supermarket supply chains. We recently caught up with the Barossa Farmers Market team to hear how the project has been received, the importance of the market for the community, and what’s ahead for this local community organisation. Last month, Penfolds proudly sponsored the 2025 Future Ready: Youth, Careers & ESG Leadership Forum, hosted by the ESG Future Foundation and Federation University Australia, an event dedicated to shaping the next generation of ESG leaders.   With around 60 ESG professionals and students attending in person, and an estimated 3 million viewers from Australia and China joining virtually, our Penfolds Evermore Manager, Steven Anderson , delivered a keynote alongside other global leaders in the ESG space, highlighting the Penfolds Evermore program and the critical role of embedding theory of change and social impact frameworks into community initiatives, ensuring we can meaningfully measure and report on outcomes to drive lasting impact.   It was a fantastic platform to showcase the work behind Evermore, support emerging ESG talent, and strengthen connections with our global community.   #Penfolds #PenfoldsEvermore #ESG #FutureReady #Community #SocialImpact #TheoryOfChange

  • A Fitting Connection, a Melbourne based organisation focusing on a sustainable fashion future through repurposing materials and education on ethical consumption, was an inaugural Evermore Australian grant recipient.   Since receiving their grant funding in 2024, A Fitting Connection have purchased a FeltLOOM to repurpose textile waste and have been delivering workshops to the community educating them on upcycling and the importance of reducing textile consumption.   Now well underway in using the FeltLOOM to create new fabrics, we sat down with A Fitting Connection Founder Katrina Naish to hear more about their work, their achievements to date, and what is on the horizon for them and the community.   Discover more here: https://lnkd.in/gQfs5pZX

Today sees the release of the latest vintages of our Australian Icons wines, exclusively available to the trade in EMEA markets through La Place de Bordeaux.  This new Collection has received rave reviews from critics in preview tastings in recent months, with 2021 Grange in particular achieving multiple 99 & 100 point scores from some of the world's most highly regarded wine writers.  Please visit Penfolds.com or comment below for further information.

  • Twelve months ago, we awarded funding under our inaugural Australian grant program to support recipients delivering projects aligning to the themes of food, winemaking and viticulture and creative arts. Among them was PlantingSeeds Projects, who introduced their flagship B&B Highways program and pollinator corridors to South Australia.   Since receiving the grant funding, PlantingSeeds Projects have established five pollinator corridor sites, planted 450 native plants, and engaged 250 participants through hands-on workshops. The result has been a meaningful boost in community awareness and understanding of biodiversity and the vital role of pollinators.   Hear from Dr Judy Friedlander, CEO and Founder of PlantingSeeds Projects, as she reflects on the project’s achievements and shares what’s ahead for the organisation. • Four countries. One collection. The 2025 Penfolds Collection is here. Bringing together wines from Australia, the USA, France, and China — each showcasing bold individuality, united by the enduring Penfolds House Style. Leading the release is our perfect-score 2021 Grange — awarded 100 points from Ken Gargett (Winepilot, Aus) and 20+/20 from Matthew Dukes (UK). Alongside it, the debut of the 2022 FWT 543 Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah: a quintessentially Australian blend, reimagined through a modern French approach and born from ongoing winemaking trials. • On Saturday, team members from Penfolds and Treasury Wine Estates came together with industry colleagues in Adelaide to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of women in the Australian wine industry.   Held at the National Wine Centre of Australia, this special evening marked 10 years of Australian Women in Wine, a milestone event to acknowledge a decade of progress, advocacy, and the incredible achievements of women shaping the industry.   We were proud to be the presenting partner for this event, standing alongside our peers to support the continued advancement of gender equality across the sector. It was a powerful reminder of the strength, talent, and leadership of the women in our company and across the wine industry.   Together, we celebrated not just how far we've come, but the collective commitment to driving lasting change.
