The BRAINIAC³ meeting was held in Newcastle the past two days, a collaborative effort proudly supported by RUNDIPG. Bringing together teams from University of Newcastle, WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research) and Children's Cancer Institute, we're excited to see the team understand and pursue the benefits of immune-based therapy for DMG patients. At RUN DIPG we know that a diagnosis doesn't just impact the patient, it devastates families and sends shockwaves through communities. Similarly, no one researcher will find the answer we're waiting for - it takes a village. Thanks to our supporters, RUN DIPG makes possible the collaborative research efforts required to change the DIPG/DMG story. Together we're #MovingTowardsACure. From front left - Prof Matt Dun (UON), A/Prof Fa Valdes Mora (CCI), Dr Yolanda Colino Sanguino (CCIA), Dr Laura Rodríguez de la Fuente (CCI), Dr Ryan Cross (WEHI), Dr Alexander Davenport (WEHI), Izac Findlay (UON), Sarah Fox (CCI), Dr Evangeline Jackson (UON), Dr Mika Persson (UON), Alicia Douglas (UON), Prof Misty Jenkins PhD AO (WEHI), and thanks to Jon Brock (Write Media - absent) supporting the team's upcoming funding application to enable the work.

As we come to the end of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we invite you to watch this powerful video.🎗 At RUN DIPG, our goal is to change "Go home and make memories" to "Let’s discuss your options” for families facing DIPG/DMG. If we invest in the research, we can lead the change for kids with cancer. Together, we can change the trajectory of this disease. Please share this video and help support our mission #MovingTowardsACure 💛 Our deepest gratitude to Jess' parents, Demi's parents, and Ruby’s mum for their continued bravery. And a very special thank you to Elastic for creating this incredible awareness video and amplifying the stories of these families. #RUNDIPG #DMG #DMG #BrainCancerAwareness #BrainCancerResearch

On the final day of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to bring your attention to this beautiful way to honour Eve Daher’s memory. On Friday, September 26th, Eve Daher's school came together on Childhood Brain Cancer Awareness Day and unveiled the Buddy Bench. Eve was passionate about making sure no one felt alone. As her school's SRC representative, she dreamed of having a Buddy Bench installed so kids would always have a place to find a friend. Her dream and legacy now lives on through this beautiful bench - a place of purpose, kindness and connection for generations to come. 🎗️ Eve’s compassion, strength and determination continue to inspire us. This bench is more than a place to sit, it’s a reminder of her heart and the incredible difference one child can make. #ChildhoodBrainCancerAwarenessDay #BuddyBenchForEve #MovingTowardsACure
