Resilient battery supply chains aren’t built by one company alone — they require shared intent, transparency and partnership across the whole ecosystem. Thank you to everyone contributing to moving this work forward at the Future Battery Forum, including our Group CTO Dr. Anna Moisala Motta, who shared Talga’s perspective on how local sourcing and innovation can strengthen Europe’s supply resilience🔋⚡
𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁: 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 🔋 This session looks at how companies can build truly resilient battery supply chains from mine to market: diversified sourcing strategies, long-term partnerships, transparent and traceable flows, and contingency planning for geopolitical and regulatory shocks. ✏️📒 Participants gain a clearer view of how to balance cost, security of supply and ESG expectations in a rapidly changing environment. 🙏 Thank you to Christian Freitag (Vulcan Energy), Axel C. Heitmann (Prime Lithium), Dr. Anna Moisala Motta (Talga Group), Michael Schmidt (German Mineral Resources Agency DERA), Dr. Daniela Sordi (CarbonX) and Prof. Dr. Andreas Zaby (SPRIND - Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen) for sharing concrete approaches to de-risking the value chain and turning resilience into a strategic advantage. #futurebattery25 #battery #networking #conference

This week at Raw Materials Week 2025 in Brussels, Talga took part in key discussions on strengthening Europe’s sustainable and secure supply of raw materials. 🇪🇺🔋 Our Exploration Manager, Thomas Kearney, spoke in the session “Unlocking Europe’s mineral raw materials potential: New data, new projects, new opportunities,” sharing insights from our exploration work in northern Sweden and how responsible mineral development supports the goals of the Critical Raw Materials Act. Sascha Keen, Group Director Corporate Finance, joined the Industry Panel on the launch of the platform for offtake and demand aggregation 'Raw Materials Mechanism'. Sascha highlighted how a future inclusion of local content and ESG factors in the platform could boost and help build resilient supply chains for critical materials like graphite. As Europe advances strategic projects and strengthens cooperation under the Critical Raw Materials Act, we’re proud to contribute to the discussions shaping a more resilient and sustainable foundation for the continent’s battery and clean energy industries.

📣 We are proud to join partners across the European battery ecosystem in a joint letter sent to President of the Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Executive Vice-Presidents Stéphane Séjourné and Teresa Ribera in support of balanced, future-proof Local Content Requirements. The letter is not only a call to action but also a recommendation to the Commission based on our joint on the ground experience on how to implement Local Content Requirement to make a difference. To strengthen Europe’s competitiveness in battery manufacturing the Industrial Accelerator Act should include Local Content Requirements that: 🤝 When defining 'local': cast a wide ‘friendshoring’ net upstream, but a narrower homeshoring ‘EU/EFTA only’ net further downstream. ⚙️ When defining 'content': start with a minimum number of critical components to be made locally and supplement it with a value-based threshold per component. ♻️ When accounting for recycled content: adapt current rules to ensure only materials from local operations qualify. The state of the European battery value chain requires urgent action. Carefully designed Local Content Requirements must be part of the solution and can contribute to strengthening our industry and electrifying our transport. Let's build a battery value chain that is competitive, sustainable, and truly European. 🔗 Read the joint letter here: https://lnkd.in/dSXQZE43
