Sydney FC today confirmed a restructure of its executive leadership, with Chief Executive Officer Mark Aubrey stepping down after two years in the role. The decision follows a management restructure process undertaken jointly by the Board and the CEO, aimed at repositioning the club to further leverage the significant skillset within the boardroom, and support the club in an increasingly global football market opportunity. As part of the restructure, Sydney FC’s commercial and football divisions will connect directly to the Board via dedicated sub-committees, ensuring stronger governance and a more proactive, hands-on link to the club leadership. The new model enables the Club to draw directly on the diverse expertise of its directors across areas such as international business, finance, technology, brand, legal, professional football, and strategic growth. The Para Uplift is already having an incredible impact not just for athletes, but our coaches too. Coaches are the foundation of a successful sporting system and our vision to #WinWell, which is why I’m excited to share a new Australian Institute Of Sport series shining a light on the people inspiring, guiding, and supporting our current and future Paralympians. If you haven’t heard of the Para Uplift before, it’s a national movement led by the AIS in partnership with Paralympics Australia, national sporting organisations, and the National Institute Network to address improving classification opportunities, access to fit-for-purpose training environments, specialised coaching, and performance support.  The Para Uplift wouldn’t be possible without the support of the Australian Government and Minister Wells, committing to an additional $54.9 million in Para-sport – doubling previous investment – to make sure #Brisbane2032 will be Australia’s most successful Games ever. Rugby Australia is delighted to confirm leading cryptocurrency exchange Swyftx has signed on as official naming rights partner of the Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby Women’s competitions in Australia until the end of 2027. Rugby Australia’s first-ever cryptocurrency partnership will see the Swyftx logo feature on the playing kits of the four Australian clubs in Super Rugby Pacific and all five Super Rugby Women’s teams for the next two seasons. Launched in 2018, Swyftx is an Australian owned and operated cryptocurrency exchange that provides a user-friendly trading platform for more than 1.3 million users across Australia, New Zealand and the United States. One in five Australian adults now own digital assets, with many of those investors having a high affinity to sport, and Rugby Australia has joined the likes of the NRL and the Brisbane Lions AFL club in partnering with Swyftx.
