As a passionate member of the IPA, I find this highly rewarding, and an opportunity to share my experiences with the IPA with both members of the profession and those considering entering the profession. Whilst I have not been engaged in speaking in 2014, I do plan on returning to present very soon, and am a strong advocate for our unique and long established professional association.

    The IPA is without a doubt one of the most unsung achievers within the Australian Professional landscape, and are the third way in terms of Accounting Professionals and in my opinion the most aligned to SME clientele and businesses.

    Bodyboarding is a sport that to some extent everyone can partake in, but at the elite level, it is akin to gymnastics on the waves, and a truly extreme sport, with a lot of soul, and fantastic community of participants, content, and good will.

    This is a great initiative largely conducted by highly engaged volunteers to mentor highly motivated High School Students who partake in Initiate 48, as part of the Spark Festival. This involes mentoring the students from the inception of the business idea, through the ideation process, to pitch, everything in between, and then attending the final to a panel of high profile judges.

  • Built the Management Reporting Suite with MYOB interface

    Providing support to my Group Financial Controller/CFO, and in a effort to consolidate the results of 8 different regional, and entity P&L's, I assisted in building an Excel/MYOB based suit that was able to automate month end reporting. This was an important initiative and project in that it enabled a SME business using MYOB to report in a manner more accustomed to a large corporate.

  • Merger and Acquisition Work

    A 9 month M&A process for the amalgamation of URSA Communications to the Clemenger Group in 2010. This was a challenging and major project performed whilst performing daily and cyclical work, and completed with the highest possible levels of confidentiality. In addition to this, I assisted with several other URSA Group companies, in similar M&A processes from June 2009 to February 2011.
