What role does #publicart play in shaping communities? Today marks the opening of Australia’s largest international arts festival. We spoke with internationally acclaimed art and design duo Craig Redman and Karl Maier. Now based in New York and London respectively, they’ve returned to where it all began—Brisbane— for this year’s Brisbane Festival. Their major immersive installation, ANZ’s Walk This Way, spans the #NevilleBonnerBridge, the #GoodwillBridge, and the #KangarooPointBridge. As Craig and Karl put it: “Good public art gives a city or community a sense of identity. Following our announcement of the Confirmation of Payee (CoP) feature, more and more everyday Australians are stopping suspicious payments in their tracks. This tool empowers our customers to instantly spot red flag payments to give them the power to stop and think before they hit send. Last week, ANZ announced it will lower interest rates of variable rate home loan customers following the Reserve Bank of Australia's decision to decrease the official cash rate.
