Last week, brokers and customers around Australia tuned in to hear from NAB’s experts on how to stay safe from scams, and the red flags to avoid. At NAB, we’re taking action to help stop scams, including: - Introducing payment alerts in the NAB app and Internet Banking, and rolling out Confirmation of Payee to help ensure funds go to the right account - Removing links from text messages so it’s easier to spot fake messages - Working with telcos to make it harder for criminals to impersonate NAB phone numbers These measures, combined with ongoing education for brokers, customers and the community are all part of NAB’s bank-wide scam strategy to help Australians spot a scam.
