Congratulations to Amos Taylor, named First Nations Senior Law Student of the Year 2025 by the Ngalaya Indigenous Corporation.
Amos, a 5th-year Aboriginal (Gija, Jaru) law student and AGSM staff member, has combined academic excellence with a commitment to Indigenous leadership and community development. He has been delivering the AGSM Executive Indigenous Leadership Program since 2022, helping Indigenous leaders continue their professional growth long after completing the program. His academic achievements include topping the Indigenous People and the Law elective and earning a place on the UNSW Faculty of Law & Justice Dean’s List.
This recognition coincides with his participation in the 76th International Astronautical Congress, the “Space Olympics”, supported by UNSW Law & Justice (Indigenous Legal Education), Nura Gili (UNSW’s Indigenous student centre), and AGSM @ UNSW Business School. His future-focused legal work in air and space law, alongside his advocacy for First Nations rights, exemplifies lifelong learning, ambition, and the power of collaboration across UNSW faculties.
Awards like this highlight the extraordinary societal impact that students like Amos have on both their communities and the broader professional landscape - congratulations!
