"Decarbonisation is the right thing to do for the environment AND the economy." A strong statement from Climate Change Authority Chair The Hon. Matt Kean, who opened the Energy Efficiency Council's Industrial Decarbonisation Summit for 2025. At the summit, UNSW Engineering Dean Julien Epps said there needs to be more efforts to raise awareness of the burgeoning decarb industry, with many students unaware of ways they can contribute. Verity Firth and David N Eyre also helped showcase UNSW's role in assisting the energy transition for manufacturers and processors, and championed the work of our researchers to potential industry partners.
