Agoterra x Balzac Paris

Since 2022, we have been contributing to carbon neutrality by financing sustainable agricultural projects with Agoterra . For example, Balzac Paris supported Jean-François Deneuville, a farmer in northern France, in his transition to organic farming.

Some figures: In 2023, we contributed 7.4% of our carbon footprint to carbon neutrality.

What we like about this project is its multiple impact:

Carbon impact

Increasing carbon sinks through sustainable agricultural practices (planting hedges).

Impact on biodiversity

Organic farming prohibits the use of plant protection products, which greatly promotes biodiversity and helps to recreate living soil.

Social impact

We provide financial support for the farmer's transition to organic farming over a period of five years.

Mission-driven company

In line with its objectives, Agroterra has acquired the status of a mission-driven company with ambitious social and environmental objectives, audited by an independent third party.

In January 2023, Agoterra visited our premises to raise awareness among all employees about carbon-related issues.

Benefits for the farmer:

Lower costs: Reduced fertilizer purchases, reduced concentrate purchases.

Increased income: Optimizing your herd, sales culture

An additional income of 2,130 euros: Thanks to the sale of his carbon credits over 5 years, a valorization of his work and services rendered
