#BESIXupdate • A concrete milestone for the Nordhavn Tunnel 🇩🇰! 💪 👏 Our team in Copenhagen recently completed its largest concrete casting to date, with an impressive 1,600 m³ poured in a single day! This bottom slab will support not only the tunnel but also a technical building and pumping station. 🚧 Together with MT Højgaard Danmark, BESIX is building a 1.4-kilometre cut-and-cover tunnel, with more than 700 metres running beneath the harbour. #BESIXmilestone • 🤩 The 8th and final Scheldt Tunnel element has departed Zeebrugge for Antwerp 🇧🇪! 🏗️ In 2021, the TM COTU joint venture began building the dry dock to construct the eight tunnel elements. Today, the last one has set sail, closing a remarkable chapter of engineering and teamwork. 🎥 Watch: Dieter Van Parys, BESIX Project Manager at the dry dock, looks back on the dedication that got us here. 🚧 The Scheldt Tunnel is a key part of the Oosterweel Link, completing the northern section of the Antwerp Ring Road.
