🌟 Thank you for making the sixth edition of the ZEB Conference unforgettable! A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this edition so special, especially to our sponsors, and speakers. Over 2.5 days, 100 experts explored a wide range of topics shaping the future of zero emission buses during 13 technical and plenary sessions, where +350 attendees came together from Europe, New Zealand, Australia and the USA! 🚌 Key insights from ZEB 2025: - We have come a long way with technology and operational advances! The question is no longer "Is this possible?" but "How do we scale further?" - Some EU markets are nearing 100% ZEB share for new urban buses. The next frontier: inter-urban and long-haul segments. - Continuous improvement and optimisation is essential, and data access is becoming a priority. - Citizens are already enjoying the benefits: cleaner air, quieter streets, and more comfortable rides. Europe must secure its place in the growing industrial value chain 🤝 The networking dinner was a highlight that brought together 400 participants and was a fantastic opportunity to connect and collaborate. 📘 Stay tuned for the ZEB 2025 report with the key highlights, coming in the next few weeks! #ZEB2025 #BusworldEurope #ThankYou #Networking #Innovation #Decarbonisation SympH₂ony (Toyota Tsusho Europe & Messer SE & Co. European Zero Emission Bus Conference - ZEB Conference reposted this
🇪🇺 "The future of manufacturing zero-emission buses in Europe" is the headline of the closing session of Brussels' European Zero Emission Bus Conference - ZEB Conference (Busworld - Exhibitions) 🗣️ Benedikt Nesselhauf, Head of Brussels Office at MAN Truck & Bus SE representing European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA), highlighted how the bus industry is leading the way in decarbonization: zero-emission buses already represent 21% of new registrations in the first half of 2025 — the best performance among all vehicle segments. 🔌 #ACEA projects that between 2025 and 2030, around 48,000 electric urban buses and 20,000 electric intercity buses and coaches will enter the European market. This evolution will require around 30,000 charging opportunities for long-distance vehicles by the end of the decade. 📈 “If EU continue at this pace in terms of regulations,” Nesselhauf noted, “to meet the 2030 CO₂ target (-43%), we’ll need roughly one third of production to be zero-emission, up to 3.5%. But today, there is no sufficient infrastructure and TCO is not yet balanced. We can make it — but European policymakers must create the enabling conditions, including a minimum requirement for European content in vehicles awarded through tenders.” #bus #electricbus #publictransport #mobility #zeroemissionbuses
