Russian energy has no place in the EU 🔌 ✂️ 🇷🇺 A plan to fully ban imports of Russian gas and oil has been approved by the relevant Parliament committees. To make sure nothing slips through the cracks, stricter checks for all gas and oil flowing into Europe through any channels will be mandatory once the new law is agreed upon with EU member states. Russia has systematically used its energy supplies as a weapon against EU countries. It's time to say goodbye. The plan was adopted by the Committees on Industry, Research and Energy and on International Trade. Read more: https://lnkd.in/erPMt8sa

No farmers = no food. Agriculture contributes about €230 billion to the EU economy each year, or 1.3% of the EU's total GDP. Farmers deserve to be fairly compensated for the crucial role that they play in the food supply chain. Last week, the European Parliament adopted its position on new rules aiming to give farmers a better deal. Negotiations will now start with EU countries' government before it can become law. Here's what MEPs want: 💪 Public procurement money should go only to EU farmers 📈 Easier ways to lessen bureaucracy for delivery contracts 🔎 Concrete reasons to put labels like "fair" on products 🚫 More control against pesticides in imported food Read more: https://lnkd.in/eZyqTSAV

When did you fly the nest? Young Europeans leave their parents’ home at the age of 26, on average 🏠 However, this varies significantly between EU countries. According to the latest survey, the youngest Europeans to leave home are, on average, Finnish, at 21.4 🇫🇮, and the eldest are Croatians, at 31.3 🇭🇷 There are many reasons to leave home at a later age, but the cost of living should not be one. Parliament has approved new cohesion funding rules, which should allow for more affordable and sustainable housing across the EU countries.
