Press Release: Imec opens its first office in Baden-Württemberg, focused on advancements in automotive chiplets. Working in close partnership with German industry and research partners, the new office reaffirms imec's long-term commitment to advancing automotive chiplet technology and illustrates how local impact and international relevance go hand in hand. Imec CEO Luc Van den hove, Baden-Württemberg’s Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann, and Minister of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut have officially inaugurated imec’s new office at the IPAI campus in Heilbronn. The IPAI campus is also hosting the Automotive Chiplet Forum, bringing together over 100 delegates from dozens of companies across the automotive value chain to explore pre-competitive collaboration in chiplet innovation. 🇧🇪 Belgium joins the European network of AI-Factories and Antennas! We’re proud to share that Belgium’s proposal to establish the BE-AI Factory Antenna has been officially accepted under the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU). Coordinated by imec, and supported by the regional and federal governments, the BE-AI Factory Antenna will provide Belgian companies, researchers and public institutions with: ➡️ Expert services for developing and deploying large-scale AI models ➡️ Access to AI-optimized supercomputing infrastructure ➡️ Access to high-quality, interoperable datasets ➡️ Training on using the infrastructure and the datasets This marks a major step forward in strengthening Belgium’s AI ecosystems and accelerating innovation across various sectors.
