Looking back at a successful NanoIC pilot line workshop at ITF World 2025! Yesterday’s NanoIC workshop at ITF World brought together key semiconductor stakeholders to highlight the strategic role, technological focus, and collaborative strength of the NanoIC pilot line. Some key insights 🔽 💬 “The advanced technologies targeted by the NanoIC pilot line are becoming increasingly important,” said Jari Kinaret, Chips Joint Undertaking Joint Undertaking, opening the session and emphasizing its critical role in Europe’s semiconductor future. 💬 Giorgos Fagas (Tyndall National Institute) highlighted the success of the Tyndall Summer Fellowship Programme, which has delivered close to 150 trainees so far, most now in semiconductor careers. “Thanks to NanoIC, we will welcome Fellows from international institutions for the first time in summer 2025.” 💬 Addressing access for the IC design community, Marie Garcia Bardon (imec) presented system exploration PDKs for early use of advanced memory and interconnects. Meanwhile, Anita Farokhnejad (imec) and Mehdi Tahoori (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)) stressed the importance of pathfinding PDKs for advanced logic nodes. 💬 Sebastien Couet (VerticalCompute) testified how the European 300mm pilot lines are accelerators for deep-tech start-ups: “The possibility to bring our technology to a higher maturity level quickly will greatly contribute to our success, and is unique in the world.” 💬 Wrapping up, Paul Lindner (EV Group) emphasized the power of collaboration: “Collaboration here in Europe will accelerate our roadmap achievements.” There was much more to discover, so if you missed it, make sure to keep an eye on our page, because a NanoIC workshop aftermovie is on its way! #ITFWorld2025 #NanoIC
