10 Years of Evolution 📈 – Adapting the Code to new realities.   MedTech Europe’s Code has evolution embedded in it! It requires amendments whenever needed, and at a minimum every 5 years.     Over the past 10 years, the Code has seen numerous Q&As and Annexes being modified and added, to provide more clarity and adapt the Code to new realities.      The most recent refresh? In a big update 5 years ago, existing guidance around Virtual events and Distributors was incorporated and a lot of the new guidance consolidated.    The Conference Vetting System (CVS) has also continued to evolve with the times, adapting the assessment of criteria.

Antimicrobial Resistance (#AMR) is one of the most critical healthcare challenges of our time. Medical technologies play a critical role in addressing healthcare-associated infections (#HAIs) and antimicrobial misuse – two of the main drivers of AMR. To more effectively fight AMR through existing medical technologies, MedTech Europe urges policymakers to: ✅ Prioritise the reduction of HAIs ✅ Expand access to rapid diagnostics ✅ Leverage technologies for antimicrobial stewardship ✅ Invest in innovative technologies and enable new antibiotic development ✅ Foster integrated approaches Find out more about the sector’s contributions below. 👇
