A bone fracture is a pivotal moment. Don’t wait for another to happen, question fractures more and speak with your doctor. Six months after her first fracture, Ruth suffered a second. It was a turning point. She could avoid activity and live in fear, or she could take control. Ruth spoke to her doctor and learned osteoporosis was the cause of her low bone density. With that knowledge, she can make good choices for her future. More than 75% of women living with osteoporosis, like Ruth, are never diagnosed or treated for the underlying condition.  While #WorldOsteoporosisDay may have passed, UCB will continue to encourage us all to #QuestionFracturesMore. If you, or someone you love, have had a fracture, take the opportunity to speak to your doctor about bone density and #osteoporosis.  Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/e95wpq7d This image contains AI-generated content. Calling all women! Is it time for you to change your destiny? Today is World Osteoporosis Day, a reminder that fractures are more than we think. They can be the first visible sign of underlying osteoporosis. So, if your mom fractured her hip, what would you do? When this happened to Maria’s mom, her first instinct was to help her recover. Then, she asked herself, what about my own fracture risk? By speaking with her doctor, Maria learned that osteoporosis could be the underlying cause of her mom’s fracture, and that she herself was also at risk. Maria then found out her own bone density and fracture risk to take control of her destiny. What would you have done in Maria’s place?  UCB is sharing stories like Maria’s to empower people to #QuestionFracturesMore. This #WorldOsteoporosisDay, we invite you to reach out to the women in your life, mothers, partners, friends, and encourage them to speak to their doctor about bone density and osteoporosis. It could be the step that changes their destiny. Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/e95wpq7d    This image contains AI-generated content. At the moment of fracture, what will you do? The answer to this one question could change your destiny. Next Monday is #WorldOsteoporosisDay, a chance to raise awareness of this “invisible” condition that occurs when your body loses bone quicker than it can rebuild. UCB is sharing stories that encourage us all to #QuestionFracturesMore. Meet Annabelle. After falling on her wrist, she chose to question whether there was a reason that made her fracture more likely. She spoke to her doctor and was diagnosed with osteoporosis. She chose care not as a compromise, but as a step toward living fully and freely. That decision changed her destiny. Question fractures more and speak to your doctor about bone density and osteoporosis. People living with Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies (DEEs) are at an increased risk of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). For parents, this can cause constant fear and lead them to monitor their child during the night. At UCB, we want to identify the causes and potential biomarkers of #SUDEP so that we can reduce the major risk factors of this devastating outcome.  Learn more about how DEEs are more than seizures - https://lnkd.in/ehnyK4CV  #MoreThanSeizures #BreakDownBarriers

Today on #SUDEPActionDay, we’re joining the call to #BreakDownBarriers so that everyone living with #epilepsy can better understand their risk of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). People living with epilepsy should have access to clear information about #SUDEP. When we’re informed, we’re empowered to make choices that support safer lives. Let’s talk openly about SUDEP and share knowledge that could make a difference. Learn more here - https://lnkd.in/ev28-iTG

We’re proud to collaborate with leading voices in rheumatology and obstetric medicine like Dr Jane Salmon - an expert for women of childbearing age living with rheumatic disease. In this short clip, Dr Salmon underscores the importance of open dialogue, informed treatment decisions during pregnancy, and the urgent need for better data to support women’s health. Watch now to hear why pregnancy should be part of every conversation with women of reproductive age—and how we can work together to close critical data gaps. Together with clinicians, researchers and patient advocates, we’re committed to empowering women with validated data and advancing meaningful change. #Rheumatology #WomensHealth #ClinicalResearch

✅ Effective shared decision-making starts by understanding what matters most to patients. Zoe Paskins, Professor of Rheumatology at Keele University, highlights that offering treatment options alone is not enough. By asking purposeful questions that reveal each patient’s priorities, HCPs can more effectively tailor osteoporosis care for those at very high fracture risk, where timely, personalized decisions are vital. This post is targeted at healthcare professionals. #SharedDecisionMaking #Osteoporosis #BoneHealth #FragilityFractures #FracturePrevention #FFN2025

At the Fragility Fracture Network (FFN) Global Congress this week, UCB is joined by healthcare professionals from around the world. If you’ll be attending the event in Porto, we invite you to join a symposium with Prof Andréa Marques, Hospitais da Universidade de Coimbra, Karen Hertz, University Hospital of North Midlands, and Prof Zoe Paskins, Keele University. Together, they will address one of the greatest challenges in osteoporosis care: how to ensure patients feel empowered to make informed treatment decisions. Join us to explore strategies for effective communication, tailored approaches to fracture risk, and practical ways to integrate shared decision-making in clinical practice. This post is targeted at healthcare professionals. #FFN2025 #Osteoporosis #BoneHealth
