City of Parramatta Council and Committee Meeting Trial

On 11 November 2024, Council endorsed a new Council and Committee Meeting cycle, on a trial basis, until September 2026.

The trial commenced in February 2025 with Council Meetings changing from fortnightly to monthly and the establishment of four new monthly Council Committees:

  • Assets and Infrastructure Committee
  • Customer, Community and Culture Committee
  • Finance, Property and Governance Committee
  • Planning, Transport and Environment Committee

Community feedback period - Now closed

In August and September of 2025, community members were invited to provide feedback on the Council and Committee Meeting cycle trial.

The feedback period closed at 5pm on Thursday 18 September 2025.

Next steps

Following community consultation and a review of all feedback, a report will be prepared for consideration at the 13 October 2025 Council Meeting, at which time a decision will be made on the future cycle of Council and Committee Meetings.
