Oct. 17-18, 2025
Vancouver, BC or online

Trust in care

About the Canadian Conference on Physician Health
Creating a stronger health care system – where both physicians and patients trust in care.

The Canadian Conference on Physician Health (CCPH) is a biennial conference that showcases both research and innovative initiatives related to improving physicians’ health and wellness within the medical training and practice environment. We provide a forum for learners, physicians, researchers, educators, administrators and others to network and promote collaboration within the community.

In 2025, CCPH welcomes participants both in-person in Vancouver and virtually to attend from Oct. 17-18. Our focus will be conversations on how we can build trust in care, co-create a health system where physicians feel supported and strengthen patient-physician relationships, while reimagining the overall culture of medicine.

Together, we can build connections, influence decisions and take collective action.

CCPH 2025 Conference Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the conference, participants will be able to:

  • Explore evidence-based strategies that enhance physical and psychological wellness, foster resilience and prevent burnout.
  • Assess practice optimization and system-level processes that promote physical, psychological, and culturally safe environments for physicians and learners.
  • Exchange best practices in the co-design of culturally safe practices, including those that support Indigenous self-determination and address systemic barriers in the Canadian health care system.
  • Engage in peer-to-peer knowledge sharing to address false medical information and enhance trust in the health care system.

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and approved by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development.
