Prepare yourselves, the Call for Participation for the December PCC will be happening soon!
DOIs:
DOIs like permanent redirects for publications and research assets. They are managed through organizations like Crossref and are assigned at Arxiv.org, for example. They are not fee, and infact require a relatively large financial investment.
Now that we have our ISSN for Issue #1, https://doi.org/10.63971/spj.2024v01 now works! Each article now has a beautiful, permanent DOI that redirects to it's own URL at science.perlcommunity.org.

Upcoming Content and Events:
The next few months are going to be very prolific for us. Starting very soon, we are going to begin:
- Releasing over 30 videos (from Winter'24 and Summer'25 PCCs)
- Issuing a cheaper black & white version of Issue #1 of the Science Perl Journal
- Issuing a full color Issue #2 of the SPJ
- Issue our Call for Participation for the Winter 2025 Perl Community Conference in Austin, TX, USA on December 17th and 18th
We also have a suprise announcement that we'll be making soon about participation in an event most should be familiar with. Stay tuned!

Paper and talk submissions will be accepted until July 01, 2025 18:59 CDT
In particular I'd like to invite anyone who regrets not submitting a talk to the TPRC or who has gotten bit by the speaking bug. You are welcome to give your talk remotely.
Hi, you my have noticed our "ad" showing up on on metacpan.org - many thanks to David Cross for helping us out there! You may have to hit "refresh" a few times to see it (but not too many, please! xD)
Now, as much as we'd love to see everyone in Austin, TX on July 3-4, and it's sure to be a lot of fun, the PCC is a hybrid event, meaning we do permit remote attendees and worthy talks.

We already have many exciting and highly technical Perl talks. But we are selfish and we want more. It is okay if you even repeat a talk you've given elsewhere. We offer several levels of talks, including lightning talks, which we all know is how most of us got started. Do not be afraid! :-)
Especially if you were not able to make any of the recent conferences since the last PCC in December, consider signing up to participate - we are still very much looking for speakers.
There are regular a talks, but the extremely successful Science Perl Track has moved from the TPRC to the PCC this year. We do have room for "regular" talks. The conference is also "free" - but we do appreciate some donations!
Please feel free to reach out to me if there are any questions, SPJs are still for sale, please see https://science.perlcommunity.org/spj for more information.
