Bensalem High School Senior’s Ivy League Sweep Goes Viral After She Gets Into Five Schools

A video of Bensalem High School senior Victoria Mathieu is going viral on TikTok after she got accepted by five Ivy League universities, writes JoAnn Pileggi for FOX 29 Philadelphia.
“I applied to, yes, seven,” said 18-year-old Mathieu. “I was expecting zero in all reality. I was not expected to get into any.”
The straight-A student supplemented her excellent academic results with an impressive activities list, including serving as captain of the step team.
Dana Harrison, Mathieu’s high school guidance counselor, praises the student as being “brilliant, self-sufficient, she’s someone who speaks for herself.”
The teen was awestruck when she first opened her college portals, and her reaction soon went viral.
She started with Columbia, where she had received a likely letter, followed by Dartmouth, where she was waitlisted. Then came four consecutive acceptances.
“It was Cornell, Brown, Yale, and UPenn, four in a row,” said Mathieu. “I thought I was gonna have a heart attack.”
She received no rejections, as both Harvard and Dartmouth placed her on their waitlists. Mathieu is now deciding which offer to accept, however for now, she is leaning towards Yale.
