Updates

  • Centerra continues to advance studies for the Kemess Project, a potential gold-copper mine located in the highly prospective Tooddogonne region of British Columbia. The project has the potential for an initial 15-year mine life with an average annual production of 250,00 gold equivalent ounces. As a past-producing mine, Kemess benefits from infrastructure already on-site, reducing the execution risk compared to other greenfield projects of this scale. The existing infrastructure includes: • ⚡A 380-kilometre, 230-kilovolt power line • 🏭A 50,000 tonne-per-day nameplate processing plant in need of some refurbishment and equipment replacements •🏕️"Mothballed" site infrastructure including a water treatment plant, camp, admin facilities, airstrip, truck shop, and warehouse which will require some refurbishment • 💧Tailings storage using a previously mined pit and an existing tailings facility with expansion potential The Centerra-owned power line, in particular, is a key piece of infrastructure, which serves as the main source of electricity for Kemess and other sites in the region. Centerra remains optimistic about the region and the potential of the Kemess project. We are on track to publish the PEA for Kemess by the end of the year. • Our team is continuing to work toward publishing a PEA for Kemess by the end of the year. Centerra's President and CEO, Paul Tomory, sat down with Jasper Wijk of Valpal this summer to give an in-depth overview of our assets including an update on the progress at Kemess. In the clip below, Paul outlines the scope of the Kemess PEA and what to expect after its release at the end of 2025. With this PEA, Centerra is targeting a project with a possible initial mine life of 15 years and potential average annual production of approximately 250,000 gold equivalent ounces. Kemess, along with Mount Milligan, would give Centerra two long-life gold-copper assets in British Columbia. Want to hear more? Check out our YouTube for the full Valpal video and don’t forget to subscribe to our channel so you don’t miss out on the latest video updates from the Centerra team! https://buff.ly/qtM4nqC #CenterraGold #GoldInvesting #Gold #Copper #Molybdenum

  • Centerra is proud to operate in British Columbia. The province is home to our flagship Mount Milligan mine near Prince George, our Kemess project in the Toodoggone region, and our Endako molybdenum mine. British Columbia’s rich mineral resources and supportive regulatory environment make the province a top-tier mining jurisdiction within Canada and one we are fortunate to be a part of. Our assets in British Columbia include: ➡️Mount Milligan: Centerra’s cornerstone asset providing long-term and lost-cost contributions to our production profile and cash flow generation. It is an open-pit copper-gold mine that has been in commerical production since 2014, and through the end of 2024, has produced over 2 million ozs of gold and 717 million lbs of copper. The latest PFS released in September 2025, announced a 10-year life of mine extension to 2045, a 10% mill throughput increase in 2029, and construction and development of a second storage facility. ➡️Kemess: The Kemess project is located in the highly prospective Toodoggone District of British Columbia. The project benefits from infrastructure already on-site including a power line, 50ktpd nameplate processing plant, a water treatment plant, camp, administration facilities, air strip, truck shop and warehouse, all of which will require some refurbishment. Centerra is currently advancing studies for a potential gold-copper mine with a possible 15-year operation. A PEA for the project is expected by the end of 2025. ➡️Endako: The Endako mine is part of our Molybdenum Business Unit and is located northwest of Prince George. The mine has been on care and maintenance since July 2015. • This week is World Space Week, an international celebration of science and technology! Did you know that gold originated in outer space and was created through powerful star collisions? To recognize this years theme of “Life in Space” we wanted to highlight the ways in which gold, copper and molybdenum, support the systems that make space exploration possible. 🛰️🟡Gold is commonly used in satellites to reflect heat and radiation and protect from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Gold is also an excellent conductor and has a high resistance to corrosion making it a vital part of onboard electronics as well as astronaut visors. It has also been known to be used in space telescopes because of its durability in harsh environments and its ability to reflect infrared light. 💧🟠Copper plays a critical role in thermal management which is needed for space exploration. By combining copper with other elements, durability increases while maintaining thermal conducting properties that are essential for aerospace applications such as rocket engine cooling systems and spacecraft heat pipes. The antimicrobial properties also help to maintain water quality for astronauts when used in water filtration systems. 🚀⚫Molybdenum is used throughout various parts of the rocket engine and antennas due to its strength, high melting point and radiation resistance. Additionally, molybdenum has been known to be an essential component of radiation shielding materials for astronauts. This post is intended to highlight the essential role of critical minerals in space technologies. Centerra does not directly supply materials to space exploration companies. #CenterraGold #WorldSpaceWeek #CriticalMinerals #Aerospace

  • Today, Centerra takes the time to reflect on the ongoing trauma caused by residential schools and honour those who were lost, the survivors, and their families and communities across Canada. At Centerra, this day holds a lot of meaning. Our operations in British Columbia take place on the territories of Dakelh, Gitxsan and Tse’khene peoples. We continue to reflect on the ways we can work together and are mindful of the deep histories and cultures of the communities we work alongside. We encourage all our team members, partners, and stakeholders to take time today to learn and reflect on the role that we can play in continuing to guide the path toward reconciliation. • Last month, Centerra worked with the Idaho Mining Association to welcome a group of Idaho State congressional staff members for a tour of Thompson Creek. The tour presented us with an opportunity to educate the group on how our mine is contributing to building a sustainable future for the community while also creating economic benefits both locally and nationally. The group toured the pit, mill and tailings, while our team provided an overview of our operations and gave insight into the ongoing work happening on site. Thank you to all the legislators who joined us on the tour!
