We were proud to join this year’s Rotman Alumni Awards Dinner — a meaningful evening that brought together alumni, partners, and members of the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management network during "Reunite at Rotman." The event honoured individuals making a lasting contribution — not just in business, but in the broader communities they serve. “It was a privilege to host our table and connect with such a diverse group of leaders,” said Kristina Fanjoy, our Chief Financial Officer. “Congratulations to all the award winners. Kevin Bong, our Managing Director, Head of Portfolio Design & Construction, recently spoke at the milestone 20th Khazanah Megatrends Forum in Kuala Lumpur. In a panel discussion on the shifting global landscape, Kevin explored the idea that a global slowdown may mark the end of cooperative resilience, but also the beginning of national reinvention. He reflected on the long-standing role of U.S. exceptionalism in anchoring growth — rooted in innovation, openness to global talent, and the dollar’s role as the world’s reserve currency — and how those foundations are beginning to shift. “Exceptionalism, in many ways, is a privilege, not an entitlement… Whether that exceptionalism can continue really remains to be seen,” he noted. Kevin was joined by Allen Ng (AMRO) and Shan Guo (Hutong Research), with Ridzuan Mohamed (Khazanah Nasional) moderating.

The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Fund is strong, sustainable and built to last — a Canadian success story that belongs to all of us. That was the message from our President & CEO, John Graham, in his recent keynote at the Canadian Club Toronto, where he highlighted the foresight of Canadian leaders, the resilience of the CPP, and how CPP Investments invests the CPP Fund on behalf of more than 22 million Canadians to help secure pensions for generations. “Canadians can now face the future with confidence that their pensions will be there — not just for today, but for decades to come,” John said, highlighting the Fund’s more than $730 billion in assets, including around $500 billion in investment income. He also sat down for an insightful Q&A with Rita Trichur, senior business writer and columnist with The Globe and Mail, where he discussed our strategy, investing in Canada and how the investment landscape is changing. We were proud to be well represented at the Women’s Private Capital Summit Canada in Toronto by several of our senior leaders in Private Equity, including Caitlin Gubbels, Afsaneh Lebel, Megan Lindhe, CFA, and Nikki Papadopoulos. With more than 350 participants from across the private capital ecosystem, the event convened institutional investors, fund managers, and advisors for two days of focused discussion on how the industry is adapting to new challenges and opportunities. Our leaders highlighted what distinguishes CPP Investments: strong governance, a clear mandate, a resilient and diversified portfolio, and a culture that fosters collaboration to drive long-term results. We’re proud to contribute to a forum that brings together women in the industry for candid dialogue, fresh thinking, and collective progress.

Priti Singh, our Chief Risk Officer, and Danielle Page, an Associate in Total Fund Management, recently took part in the Catalyst Honours in Toronto. The panel was inspired by a recent report from CPP Investments Insights Institute: Investing in Talent, Unlocking Value: The Potential of Gen Z Women. Moderated by Zabeen Hirji, the session explored how Gen Z women are reshaping workplace expectations — and why inclusive, purpose-driven environments are key to attracting and retaining the next generation of leaders. Drawing from the report findings, the panel highlighted why investing in talent is central to long-term value creation. At CPP Investments, we see talent strategy as a critical lever — one that depends on understanding how people at different career stages define opportunity, inclusion, and growth. Priti spoke to the opportunity of multigenerational teams. “Reciprocal mentoring isn’t just a buzzword — it’s one of the most effective ways I’ve seen to challenge assumptions, build trust, and bring new perspectives to the table,” she said. Danielle added: “Many of us want long-term careers, but only in places that invest in us. Gen Z women aren’t looking for shortcuts; we’re looking for trust, growth, and a sense of belonging.” Read more from the Institute Institute's 2025 report on investing in a new generation of talent. https://lnkd.in/gUgmynMD
