Today, Xanadu, creator of the Aurora photonic quantum system and PennyLane, a leading quantum software platform, announced that it had signed an agreement to “go public” through a SPAC transaction with Crane Harbor Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: CHAC). The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including stockholder approval. Georgian is proud to have backed Xanadu from its earliest rounds and to support its mission to make quantum computers useful and accessible everywhere. Congratulations @Christian Weedbrook and the Xanadu team!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve entered a definitive business combination agreement with Crane Harbor Acquisition Corp., setting the stage to list on the Toronto Stock Exchange and NASDAQ! This is the initial step in becoming the first publicly traded, pure-play photonic computing company in history. Xanadu was formed in 2016 with a mission to build quantum computers that are useful and available to people everywhere. This transaction will provide us with the capital necessary to accelerate that mission. We believe quantum computing represents the next major technological breakthrough, and we’re thrilled to continue building on years of momentum. For the full details on this announcement, see the announcement here. https://lnkd.in/gkHEZe2k

“We’ve started to rip it up.” Georgian’s Emily Walsh says old metrics no longer cut it as #AI has completely changed how VCs evaluate startups, even if a bubble is coming. #CDNTech #VC #StartupFunding

VC is a constant search for signals in the noise. At Georgian's AI Lab, Azin Asgarian and I explored whether Kumo could help us find high-potential startups faster—without the usual months of data wrangling and model building. Our KumoVC project showed it's possible: same graph, multiple use cases (funding predictions, fit scoring, advisor matching), all without manual feature engineering. Top 10 finish at Kumo's hackathon. The mantra that stuck with us: 'Don't build a model; ask a predictive question.' Full write-up below!
One of our KumoRFM August Hackathon finalists, Azin Asgarian and Frederik Dudzik from Georgian’s AI Lab, share how they built "KumoVC", a suite of predictive tools that helps identify high-potential startups, best-fit investments, and ideal advisors. In their post, they explain how KumoRFM enables: • Instant predictions from venture data • Faster deal discovery and investment decisions • Streamlined workflows without feature engineering • A single graph powering multiple predictive use cases Their work shows how KumoRFM transforms venture data into actionable insights, helping investors focus on the right opportunities at the right time. We’re excited to announce that Sublime has raised $150M in a Series C led by Georgian, joined by new investors Avenir, 01 Advisors, Jon Oberheide, and Nicole Perlroth, and existing investors Index Ventures, IVP, Slow Ventures, and Citi Ventures. This year we launched ASA and ADÉ, our AI agents that autonomously triage threats and auto-adapt coverage, freeing security teams from repetitive work and delivering rapid, tailored defenses. We’ve grown our customer base 4x since the beginning of the year while maintaining zero enterprise customer churn since company inception. This funding accelerates our vision to deliver autonomous email security that adapts to each organization's unique needs, stopping sophisticated attacks while eliminating the manual work and vendor bottlenecks of legacy solutions.
