It’s not every day that superheroes literally drop in for a visit! Thanks to the Hamilton Police Service for joining the Spirit Halloween party yesterday at our McMaster Children's Hospital. It was a spooktactular time full of tricks and treats for patients and families to enjoy. This event wouldn’t be possible without our wonderful Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation. #happyhalloween #HamOnt #kidshealth #spookyseason

We're on the doorstep of opening the new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, scheduled for November 24. 🙌 Opening day will be a huge moment of pride and renewal for the community. Although it was a long road to get to this point, once shovels hit the ground, the new hospital was built at near record pace. This collection of photos commemorates some of the key moments in our building journey. This event, yet again, was truly inspiring.💙 Our Foundation said it best 👇.
Illuminight 2025 was an incredible success! Thanks to your support, we raised $220,000 (and counting!) for Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre! (Hamilton Health Sciences) From our dedicated staff and volunteers to our generous donors and sponsors, each of you played a part in making the evening unforgettable. Your support will help fund world-class research that changes how we detect, treat and manage cancer, purchase life-saving equipment that improves outcomes for patients, and transform care environments into healing-centered spaces that support recovery, dignity, and comfort. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for walking with us. Every donation, every connection, and every moment shared at Illuminight brings us closer to a healthier, brighter future for Hamilton. Together, we are lighting the way forward. 💛

Hamilton Health Sciences reposted this
Last week, our building was buzzing with PHRI researchers, staff, and students coming together to celebrate innovation, collaboration, and the amazing work happening across the institute. We kicked things off with an inspiring talk from Canadian Olympic marathoner Reid Coolsaet, who shared lessons from his journey and what it takes to reach your potential. Throughout the day, our scientists, fellows, and staff presented their latest research, from clinical trials and data analytics to new digital tools and approaches advancing health research worldwide. The day wrapped up with our Poster Awards and the first-ever PHRI Staff Awards, recognizing the hard work and dedication of our teams across the institute. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who participated and helped make Research Day 2025 a success! We are pleased to be awarded the 2024/2025 Ontario Health Trillium Gift of Life Network Provincial Conversion Rate Award and Provincial Eligible Approach Rate Award. Organ donation not only requires people willing to donate, but a compassionate health-care team. We are so grateful to our amazing teams at Hamilton General Hospital (photo 1), McMaster Children's Hospital (photo 2) and Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre (photo 3) who are helping save lives and make these awards possible. #beadonor #organdonation #giftoflife
