In Canada, men are 30% less likely than women to seek mental health support. Too often, challenges go unaddressed until they escalate into burnout, absenteeism, or disability claims. For employers, that gap carries real business costs, but also a powerful opportunity to act earlier. Ten years ago, we set out to make healthcare more accessible. Today, millions of Canadians rely on Maple (getmaple.ca), and our purpose to meet the world’s healthcare needs is stronger than ever. The next decade is about pushing boundaries, reaching more people, and tackling one of the world’s biggest challenges: access to healthcare. Thank you to our partners, practitioners, people and patients who have trusted us along the way. Here’s to many more big things to come! 🚀 🧡 🎂
Today marks a huge milestone — Maple’s 10th anniversary! In our early years, there were plenty of days when we weren’t sure we’d make it here. The challenges felt endless, and the idea of seeing a doctor online was still unfamiliar - even a little radical. But what we did have was conviction: that healthcare could be more accessible, and that technology could help make it happen. Fast forward 10 years, and I’m humbled by what our team has built. We’ve grown from a small group with a shared vision into Canada’s leading virtual care provider, helping millions of people each year get the care they need - whether in big cities, rural communities, or anywhere in between. Our mission has never been more urgent. With a growing population, more patients living longer with complex needs, and fewer healthcare providers to care for them, the future of healthcare depends on innovation. That’s why we’ve embraced technology - from breaking down geographic barriers to integrating AI that supports faster, more effective care. None of this would be possible without the extraordinary Maple team, our healthcare providers, our partners, and - most importantly - the patients who trust us with their health. To everyone who’s been part of this journey: thank you. You’ve helped us not only build a company, but also spark a decade of innovation in Canadian healthcare - and prove that making this innovation a reality is not only possible, but essential.

Last week, Maple’s Chief Marketing Officer Daniel Shearer led a conversation with leaders from Wealthsimple (Greg Bolton), Lyft (Cass Zawadowski), and Saje Natural Wellness (Jess Willis) at Campaign Canada’s In-Housing Summit on the future of marketing. One key insight: AI didn’t drive the move in-house, but it’s where in-house teams have a clear edge. Tighter collaboration. Faster execution. Smarter integration. More than half of Canadian women say the system doesn’t meet their needs. It’s a clear warning: a system built for another time is no longer working for all of us.
