Consultation on Proposed Code Changes on Occupancy Permits Linked to Deferred Development Charges As reported in CodeNews 369, the Province is proposing changes to occupancy permit requirements under the Building Code for deferred development charges for residential buildings. Builders who defer development charges would be required to obtain an occupancy permit, which may be withheld until payment is confirmed.
