Sunday marks National Missing Children’s Day. It's almost unimaginable to think that in the U.S. alone, around 460,000 children are reported missing each year. When a child goes missing every second counts. For over 15 years Thomson Reuters has worked with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) to leverage our technology, data and insights to help find missing children, reduce child sexual exploitation online, and prevent child victimization. Recently we were proud to co-sponsor NCMEC’s Champions for Children event, joined by John Walsh, NCMEC co-founder and host of America’s Most Wanted, in recognition of law enforcement who help keep children safe from harm. The Thomson Reuters Institute and the National Center for State Courts gathered representatives from 25 US states and 3 countries for the first annual meeting of the AI Policy Consortium for Law and Courts.
