The PTC hands-on approach to education and active learning environment replicates the reality of a workplace so closely that PTC students enter the workforce with the ability to work in a team environment, interpret customer needs, communicate well, interact effectively with people, and analyze problems.
Each semester included lab work to coincide with the theory classes.

The course covers legacy systems still in use and the latest state-of-the-art systems currently used. The avionics environment is an important part of this course. In the context of this course “environment” refers not only to the physical environment of pressure, temperature, vibration, etc. but the regulatory environment.
This course was attended by twenty-five Bombardier Aerospace Design Approval Representatives (DAR) and Design Approval Organization (DAO) individuals. At the time I was the Bombardier Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) Engineering Champion.

Peer mentoring is a form of mentorship that takes place between a person who has lived through a specific experience (peer mentor) and a person who is new to that experience (the peer mentee). An example would be an experienced student being a peer mentor to a new student, the peer mentee, at Point Park University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

Literally up and down hills and mountains in five feet of snow in a blizzard with the wind blowing 50 mph when the temperature was -23 F (static air temp). People in poor areas would buy the most. And people in the rich areas would call the police who would ask us for our permits. I learned a lot about people from doing this. https://www.bvrspittsburgh.org/about-us/

Meals on Wheels People
- 4 years
Meals on Wheels deliver meals to individuals at home who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals. Because many elderly are housebound, many of the recipients are the elderly. Delivered food to some older folks around my Pittsburgh neighborhood on an almost daily basis (when I was not working as an engineer between assignments). Lots of older people fall and need to be checked on. Unfortunately, I was the only contact some of these people had. They light up when they see someone!

Electronic Bombardier Engineering System Change Request (eBCR)
Bombardier Aerospace Vice President of Engineering - (F. Caza)

-Junior Achievement graduates believe that participation in Junior Achievement programs had a significant impact on their desire to stay in school and pursue a post-secondary education, and their ability to get a job and perform at work. As a result, Junior Achievers are better prepared for the workforce. The result - accelerated career tracks, altered trajectories and more skilled employees for employers.
