🚀 One of the largest CEE banks, Bank Pekao S.A., chooses Aleph Zero to tokenize historical art 🎨 Bank Pekao S.A., Poland’s 2nd-largest bank, has chosen Aleph Zero to securely store extremely detailed digital replicas of iconic Polish artworks, ensuring their safekeeping for future generations. These artworks will also be stored in the Arctic World Archive. What does that mean? 🔹 Bank Pekao is the first bank to tokenize historical art for long-term preservation. 🔹 Aleph Zero’s secure, low-carbon blockchain was key in making the decision around blockchain choice. 🔹 Digital reproductions are stored as NFTs on Aleph Zero and in the Arctic World Archive, a secure vault safeguarding cultural data for up to 1,000 years. 🔹 Works by Jan Matejko, Stanisław Wyspiański, Wojciech Kossak, and modern artists like Lia Kimura have been digitized and minted as NFTs. The project is an effect of the collaboration between Bank Pekao, Aleph Zero, and Degen House – and there’s more to come from us! We’re excited to share that Messari has spotlighted Aleph Zero and Common in their deep dive into the future of DeCC (Decentralized Confidential Computing). DeCC describes the way to preserve data privacy on public blockchains using technologies like ZK, TEE, FHE, MPC, and more—without sacrificing decentralization. Messari notes: “Over $1B has been invested in DeCC projects—momentum is growing fast as teams move toward real-world integrations and dev-friendly tools.” This show’s significant belief in privacy. Messari highlights how Common achieves blazing-fast, client-side ZK proofs for private asset management—without compromising user experience. Mainnet – Decentralized. The block production and finalization process on Aleph Zero is now in the hands of community validators! Starting now: – A permissionless rotation algorithm chooses block production and finalization committees from all community validators, shifting control from a few trusted nodes to a broader, decentralized community. – The Aleph Zero Foundation has one reserved seat in the 14-member block finalization committee. This ensures a swift response to unlikely future finalization issues while maintaining system decentralization. – The block production committee size has been reduced from 50 to 30 seats. This change extends the time a validator is not in the committee, allowing them to update their node without affecting staking rewards. Decentralization is one of blockchain’s core principles—it removes single points of failure, distributes power, and strengthens security. And it's here!
