This what winners look like! Yesterday, the prestigious "Renewable Material of the Year 2025" #InnovationAward went to Maike Lambarth from Cyclize for an exciting technology to use mixed-waste and CO₂ as feedstocks to produce syngas. Second place went to the first ever white lignin from Bloom Biorenewables presented by Justine Charmillot. The replacement of PFAS and microplastics in paper packaging was presented by Sarvesh Poddar from Sustanix Materialtech B.V. and gained the third place. The award was presented by Christoph Gürtler and sponsored by Covestro. But there still lies a final day of the Renewable Materials Conference 2025 ahead with two parallel sessions on #Biodegradation and the political frame for #RenewableCarbon. And don't forget the visit the workshops and the table-top exhibition Find the full programme here: https://lnkd.in/eyTc2zRQ #Defossilisation #25RMC #BioBased #Recycling #CCU

🎉 Happy 30th Birthday SwissCore! A heartfelt thank you for featuring Bloom Biorenewables as a success story during these insightful days in Brussels — alongside European Commission, EIC - European Innovation Council Board, European Investment Fund (EIF), and Innosuisse. 🌱 Bloom is a powerful example of the value of a strong Swiss-EU partnership. From our Cleantech perspective, we highlighted two key priorities: 1. Industrial transformation demands bold hardware innovation — capital-intensive solutions that scale through a strategic blend of public and private financing. 2. Policy must enable innovation — sustainable technologies can only thrive if market frameworks allow disruption. Financing R&D and scale-up is futile if regulations protect incumbents. 👏 Congratulations to the entire team for a memorable event — especially Laurin Reding, Luca Cruciato, and the Mission of Switzerland to the EU.

🌞 Bloom Summer Retreat — Strategy, Synergy & Purpose 🌿 This month, Bloom Biorenewables set sail to Yvoire for a summer retreat. Against the stunning backdrop of Lake Léman, the team designed the future by blending strategic brainstorming with team building. 🧠 Strategic Highlights Our scientist Olivia Pabois Delêtre sparked a thoughtful discussion on the delicate balance between internal data sharing and data protection. Philip Scholten, our CIO, challenged us to think big—and sustainably—about scaling Bloom’s operations in line with our mission. David-Alexandre Leduc, our COO, turned risk management into a high-stakes pirate game (yes, really!) that had every team navigating uncertainty with flair. Our CTO Ydna Questell-Santiago brought tech readiness levels (TRLs) to life through an immersive role-play—proving once again that even the heaviest topics can be tackled with a light touch. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Noel Gentric and Yvon Calvel from the Chablais section of the private forest owners, who shared valuable insights on feedstock management. 💡 What we took away A renewed sense of purpose, sharper alignment on our mission, and a deeper appreciation for the brilliant minds (and personalities!) that make Bloom what it is. Huge thanks to our stellar organising team for making it all happen. The path ahead is clear—and we are designing it together. #TeamBloom #SummerRetreat #InnovationWithPurpose #DataEthics #SustainableGrowth #TechWithHeart
