With the opening of a new athletics room in the sports center of Herisau, athletes and sports students from the Appenzell region now have access to a state-of-the-art training space, which offers optimal conditions for targeted and performance-oriented training. The room is equipped with cardio and strength training machines, as well as other equipment such as squat racks, dumbbells, and TRX. The athletics room offers the perfect environment for a wide range of athletic activities. What was once an unused space has now become a vibrant hub for connection and fun, thanks to the creativity and hands-on collaboration of our colleagues in India. Using repurposed materials such as old wooden cable spools, pallets and thanks to creative wall paintings as well as many plants, the space was filled with new energy.  Employees gather – even after work – to play games like table tennis, table football, chess and other board games. Today, it’s not just a place to relax during breaks, but also a space where many colleagues choose to stay and socialise beyond office hours.  The room was also officially inaugurated by our CEO, Urs Ryffel, during his recent visit to India for which also the reception area was refurbished.   #Teamwork #Transformation #Collaboration #Sustainability
