💡🏑 To address sustainability challenges, you need the right pitch. For the International Hockey Federation (FIH), that meant sharing bold ideas and advancing their thinking on innovations like moving towards non-watered turf and substantially reducing water consumption for the practice of hockey at elite level, or planting trees through their “Give back to Forest” initiative. These efforts resulted in them winning the IOC Climate Action Award 2024, supported by Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner Deloitte, and a custom Deloitte Greenhouse Lab built to help accelerate new breakthroughs. The FIH and Continental Hockey Federations collaborated with Deloitte and the International Olympic Committee at the Deloitte Greenhouse in Zurich to help shape the future of sustainable hockey events. 💧 From self-wetting hockey balls to the first carbon-zero turf at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, FIH is proving what’s possible when sustainability meets innovation. The IOC is proud to work with our partner, Deloitte, to support organizations across the Olympic and Paralympic Movements to make progress through passion, performance, and purpose. And this is just the beginning. 🌍 #Olympics #MoreThanSport #Sustainability #MadeForHockey #TogetherMakesProgress

On 6 February 2026, the world will witness a spectacular celebration of beauty, creativity, and Italian identity at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games Opening Ceremony, held at the iconic San Siro Stadium in Milan. ✨ Today, Milano Cortina 2026 unveiled the creative vision behind the Ceremony, titled “Armonia”: a universal concept that becomes both a visual and emotional tale. A journey through art and innovation, nature and city, tradition and future. A tribute to Italy and its values, combining the evocative power of our history and culture with the Olympic spirit. Milano Cortina 2026 President Giovanni Malagò, expressed how “Armonia is not just a theme – it is our promise to the world. When someone’s struggling, just being there can mean everything. 🤍 On #WorldMentalHealthDay, Olympian Gracie Gold shares how her twin sister Carly’s quiet support helped her through some of her toughest moments. Their story, featured in this short IOC film, is a powerful reminder that small acts of care can be life-changing. This is the heart of the IOC’s Mental Health Ambassadors programme — athletes opening up, supporting each other, and helping to build a culture of care in sport. It is also part of the Let’s Move +1 campaign, the latest phase of the global initiative with the World Health Organization, in which the IOC is highlighting the mental health benefits of physical activity. Let’s keep listening. Let’s keep moving. 👉 Find out more information: https://lnkd.in/ewZkC84C #LetsMove #Olympics

Mental health matters — and athletes are leading the way in breaking down stigma and building a culture of care in sport 🧠💪 To mark #WorldMentalHealthDay, the IOC brought together Olympians from across the globe, like Abhinav A. Bindra OLY, to act as Mental Health Ambassadors. They do more than share their stories – they help others feel less alone - on and off the field of play. We shine a spotlight on these voices as part of the IOC’s Let’s Move +1 campaign. Find out more information :https://lnkd.in/ewZkC84C #LetsMove #Olympics
