🏗️ 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗘𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗘𝗥𝗙) A major milestone for our team in Walsall: the first steel erection marks the moment when the facility begins to take shape, both on-site and in spirit. Built for our long-standing partner ENCYCLIS, the Walsall ERF will: 🔹 Treat up to 436,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste each year 🔹 Generate 49 MW of clean electricity, enough to power around 90,000 homes 🔹 Regenerate a former industrial site, creating lasting value for the West Midlands “Reaching the first steel erection milestone is a proud moment for all of us. It’s the point where months of preparation, coordination, and dedication start to become visible. Seeing the structure rise is a reminder of what we can achieve together.” Ugur Sucular, Project Director, Kanadevia Inova Together, we’re building a future free of wasted waste. #kanadeviainova #wastetogrid #energyrecovery #decarbonisation #circulareconomy

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗞'𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹-𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 ENCYCLIS has issued Notice-To-Proceed for the UK's first full-scale carbon capture facility at a Waste to Energy plant. This marks our third carbon capture project following successful pilots at Ferrybridge and the Rookery South facilities. The Protos Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) near Ellesmere Port will capture 370,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually using our amine scrubbing technology. Construction begins now, with handover scheduled for mid-2029. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 By capturing both biogenic and fossil CO₂ from non-recyclable waste combustion, this facility will become a negative emitter. The captured carbon will be permanently stored in depleted gas reservoirs under Liverpool Bay through the HyNet North West decarbonisation project. This shifts Waste to Energy from climate-friendly to climate-positive. When you combine the most sustainable option for treating non-recyclable materials with carbon capture and storage technology, you create infrastructure that actively prevents the release of CO₂ to the atmosphere. Following the 48 month construction and integration phase ahead, the project will demonstrate how proven technology scales from pilot to commercial deployment, and why long-term client partnerships matter when building complex infrastructure. ⬇️Click below to read the full Media Release for greater insights: https://lnkd.in/eDAYriSf #CarbonCapture #WasteToEnergy #Decarbonisation #CircularEconomy #NetZero
