The Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) and the Solana Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding focused on blockchain technology and digital finance. The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation aimed at exploring and implementing blockchain-based solutions within capital market infrastructure. Key areas of collaboration include: ▪️ integration of blockchain-based solutions within capital market infrastructure ▪️ tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) ▪️ exploration of stablecoin issuance and other Solana-based products and support of digital transformation. “This cooperation creates new opportunities to deploy advanced technological and business solutions on the KASE platform and to expand the range of services available to investors.” KASE is the leading stock exchange in Central Asia. The signing of this memorandum reflects a strategic decision by the Exchange to actively engage in the ongoing transformation of capital markets. As the memorandum progresses into practical implementation, it may create new opportunities for the development and testing of tokenized financial instruments, blockchain-based post-trade and settlement processes, and institutional-grade infrastructure solutions aligned with regulatory requirements. These initiatives could provide a foundation for pilot projects involving real-world asset tokenization, enhanced transparency and efficiency across market operations, and deeper integration of Kazakhstan’s capital markets with global digital financial infrastructure.
