“What I loved most was the sense of togetherness. We came together, learned together and supported each other. That’s what made the experience so special.” These words belong to Agaicha, a young refugee woman from Mali, living in Burkina Faso. Agaicha is one of the thousands of young people supported through the partnership built by LIV Golf and UNHCR. This week, this spirit of togetherness came to life as the two organizations celebrated a partnership that is breaking barriers. United behind a common vision to improve the well-being and opportunities of people forced to flee and the communities that host them through golf. In just one year, the partnership is already making a real difference. More than 8,300 refugees and host community members across four continents attended sport and play-based golf activities meant to help restore and improve wellbeing and foster a sense of belonging. And the positive energy of sport is far beyond the course, with over 370,000 more people reached indirectly, including families, classmates and entire communities. This is just the start. Together, we are using the power of sport and golf to create opportunities and build resilient communities, leaving no one behind.
