🇨🇭💬🤖 I am happy and proud that Swisscom as initial strategic partner of ETH Zürich and EPFL in the Swiss AI Initiative and the #Apertus Swiss AI model, is providing the pioneering Swiss LLM since Day0. Conducting #Research together on the safety AI Red-teaming and benchmarking of the Apertus LLM and further develop and improve the model is a highlight for our common students and colleagues and offers them unique perspectives and experiences. Thanks you Imanol Schlag, Antoine Bosselut, Martin Jaggi, Annie Hartley, Mathieu Salzmann & David Froelicher. In a similar way the optimisation of the inference of the model by our engineers in the framework of the Swisscom cooperation with NVIDIA, leads to high performance and energy efficiency improvements of Apertus. During the ongoing Swiss {ai} Weeks hackathons, developers can have hands-on experiences with Apertus through the API endpoint Swisscom offers on its sovereign Swiss AI Platform. They test its capabilities to shape future versions through their feedback. Also Swisscom business customers can access Apertus via our sovereign Swiss AI Platform and the Digital Marketplace. So, what makes Apertus unique❓ 🔓 Fully open & transparent: Apertus is Latin for “open”, highlighting that its architecture, training data, and model weights are fully accessible and documented. 🌍 Multilingual by design: Trained on 15 trillion tokens across 1,000+ languages, with 40% non-English data.
