On the eve of Fudan University's 120th anniversary, the Shanghai Fosun Foundation donated an initial fund of RMB 100 million to establish the Fudan University Affiliated Hospitals Development Fund, aimed at supporting the sustained development of Fudan's affiliated hospitals in areas such as medical services, education, research, and management. Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun International and an alumnus of Fudan’s Philosophy Department (Class of 1985), attended the fund’s launch ceremony held on Fudan's campus. He said, “Fudan was the most important step in my life.” He explained that choosing Fudan’s affiliated hospitals as the main donation recipients reflects the desire to deeply and effectively integrate Fosun’s industrial resources with Fudan’s research and education strengths. The goal is to actively promote original innovation, strengthen cooperation at the level of scientific research institutions, and drive the transformation of research outcomes to benefit families worldwide. The fund plans to reach an initial scale of RMB 500 million by 2027, when the Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University marks its 100th anniversary, and to grow to RMB 1 billion by the time China achieves the goals of the “Healthy China 2030” initiative. #healthcare #MedicalResearch #University #Fudan

April 25 is #WorldMalariaDay. For nearly 15 years, Fosun Pharma has supported the WHO’s vision of a malaria-free future, delivering over 400 million vials of injectable artesunate worldwide and helping to treat more than 80 million severe #malaria cases. Argesun, Fosun Pharma’s independently developed second-generation injectable artesunate, has received WHO prequalification. It is the first one-step formulation of artesunate for injection, significantly improving clinical convenience and making it especially suitable for use in remote regions of Africa with limited medical conditions.
