This #GoutAwarenessDay, we are proud to unveil a series of striking murals that appeared overnight in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, and Phoenix to uncover the hidden impact of gout and transform how we see this serious condition. 🖼️ Gout affects over 12 million Americans with nearly 72% of gout flares going unreported. For people living with gout like Chris, who was just 26 when he first experienced pain related to his gout, the impact of this chronic disease is often hidden from view. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the mural unveiling today! Living with a rare disease like vasculitis isn’t easy. Stacy knows that all too well. ❤️ ANCA-associated #vasculitis (AAV) is an autoimmune disease affecting key organs throughout the body. For Stacy, this condition brought misdiagnoses, relentless symptoms, and confusion over where to turn for support. But instead of waiting for answers, Stacy chose to take control, tracking symptoms, diving into research, and preparing for every appointment with questions that mattered. By doing so, she actively reshaped her care. During #VAM2025 especially, her story is a powerful reminder that self-advocacy can change the trajectory of living with a rare disease like AAV. На 15 май отбелязваме Международния ден на семейството – повод да се замислим за здравето и благополучието на нашите близки. Фамилната хиперхолестеролемия (ФХ) е наследствено заболяване, което води до високи нива на "лошия" LDL холестерол и повишен риск от сърдечносъдови инциденти като инфаркт и инсулт. Тъй като се предава генетично, ако един член на семейството страда от ФХ, то и други роднини могат да бъдат засегнати. Въпреки това, около 80% от хората с ФХ не са диагностицирани и не подозират за състоянието си. В Амджен вярваме, че информираността и ранната диагностика са ключови за превенцията на сериозни здравословни проблеми. Ето защо ви насърчаваме – поговорете със семейството си за здравословните проблеми на вашите баба и дядо, чичо и леля. Споделете тази информация със своя лекар и той ще прецени риска от ФХ.
