Hello, I was having issues trying to figure out how to fix an unrwapping problem I’ve run into. For what ever reason the selected area seams to be connected to numerous other parts of the model. Its been a while since I had come back to try and finish this course, but if I remember correctly, after working on the retopology and moving on to resculpting , I think I had an extra layer of faces I had to delete and refill in that area. Is there any easy fix for this?

Well done isolating the problem area.
There may well be double geometry there. Select each vert in turn and grab and move it to investigate.
Go to wireframe too and check there is nothing odd like an internal connection or face.
Either remove or merge away any extra geometry or just delete that area and rebuild it. The nre unwrap!

merge by distance - Look for inner hidden faces, use x-ray mode
