Just wrapped up an incredible visit to the ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo and Automotive Testing Expo in Stuttgart! It was a fantastic opportunity to explore the latest advancements in ADAS and automotive testing technologies, and to engage directly with some of the most innovative companies in the field. Here are a few highlights from my experience: ✨ AVL showcased its new AVL Beat software platform — a cutting-edge solution for data acquisition and live analysis. The live demo was especially impressive, offering a glimpse into how real-time data processing is evolving. ✨ b-plus introduced their new HiL solutions designed for high-performance vehicle system testing. Their approach to real-time replay of high-bandwidth data like Radar and LiDAR is a game-changer for validation processes. AI in Automotive is clearly taking center stage: LIGHTLY demonstrated how Edge AI can be harnessed with features like auto-detection, auto-labeling, and active learning, enabling smarter and faster machine learning pipelines. Deontic impressed with their use of Generative AI for scenario creation in HiL/SiL simulations. Giving natural language inputs to design complex autonomous driving scenarios is nothing short of futuristic! I also had the chance to interact with forward-thinking exhibitors such as dSPACE, Xylon , and LiangDao, gaining valuable insights into their tools for real-time systems, validation, and sensor data fusion. And Many more.... 📢 #ASAM and the #Autoware Foundation are #partnering to advance autonomous driving 📢 - We are proud to announce a new partnership between ASAM e.V. and the Autoware Foundation – a mutual commitment from both sides to collaborate more closely with respect to advancing standardization and interoperability across the autonomous vehicle industry: • The Autoware Foundation has joined ASAM as a member. • ASAM became an Alliance Partner of the Autoware Foundation • Together, we want to build bridges between open-source development and industry standards. The Autoware Foundation already uses ASAM’s open simulation standards like ASAM OpenSCENARIO. We are currently evaluating the integration of ASAM SOVD into the Autoware Open AD Kit, which could significantly expand standard adoption in the SDV ecosystem. ASAM SOVD, which is currently being transferred to ISO, is designed to standardize access to software-defined vehicles (SDVs). After a succesful day 1 at ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo and Automotive Testing Expo in Stuttgart, a crowded second day brought more opportunities for interaction with vistors and exhibitors. Accompanied yesterday by our director Dr. Ralf Nörenberg, we could collect valuable feedback about our work at ASAM e.V. on a broad range of topics, and make sure that also critical voices got heard and that action is being taken. Again, the #ASAMcube was in huge demand and it's thanks to our marketing manager Dorothee Bassermann, that we had new supplies available. The pictures speak for themselves: it's the people who make #ASAM such a successful association. Just wrapped up three exciting days at the ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo ! The conversations that came up most frequently? Safety, simulation, and data — the very foundation of autonomous systems. A strong consensus is forming around the need for synthetic data that is realistic, efficient, and cost-effective. At Lightwheel, we believe this can only be achieved by combining AI and physics-based simulation. I'm grateful for all the insightful exchanges and to have met so many inspiring professionals: Dominik Nuss – for sharing how Wayve is applying synthetic data Alexander F.
