🚀 Performance upgrade with our latest Wet End Controller (WEC) installation in the U.S. We’re currently supporting a major upgrade project for a customer in the U.S., focused on boosting efficiency and automation in the Wet End. The installation includes a new WEC with ▶ dual 22" touch panels for parallel operation of the entire Wet End Systems, ▶ new bridge level control and splice synchronization, ▶ profinet-capable PLCs on both Single Facers and the Double Facer, ▶ temperature-controlled wrap arm adjustment on the Preheater, ▶ automatic grade change, ▶ and residual linear meters display. Christian and Lars Engel in the final of the “EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025” competition👍️ As in 2024, Christian and Lars Engel are among the 20 finalists for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award. In a multi-stage selection process, they prevailed against a large number of other entrepreneurs from all over Germany and impressed the jury with BHS Corrugated and their personal entrepreneurial achievements. On October 13, 2025, representatives from EY and ODDO BHF visited BHS Corrugated's headquarters in Weiherhammer and presented the finalist award to Christian and Lars Engel. During the visit, the managing directors of BHS Corrugated discussed various topics with the guests, both within and outside of BHS Corrugated. On November 6, Lars Engel and Group CFO Dr. Thomas List will travel to Munich, where the winners in the categories “Family Business,” “Innovation,” “Sustainability,” and “Young Companies” will be announced at a festive gala. Christian and Lars Engel are among the five finalists in the category “Family Business”. One of the winners will represent Germany at the “EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026” in Monaco. In addition to the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Audience Award will also be presented at the awards ceremony, independently of the jury. BHS Corrugated at FEFCO 2025: A Resounding Success👍️ From October 8–10, BHS Corrugated showcased its innovations at the FEFCO Technical Seminar in Rome – one of the most important events for the European corrugated industry. At the heart of our presence was the Corruverse: a digital ecosystem integrating corrugators, digital printing, intralogistics, and processing. A mirrored LED wall drew attention with immersive presentations on topics like cybersecurity, Lifecycle Services, and digital print. A special highlight: the debut of our life-sized CorruMate mascot – a popular photo spot for visitors. Our experts took the stage in keynotes and panels, earning applause and recognition: Thomas Murr received the Best Innovation in Advanced Technology award for the BHS Jetliner Monochrome. Markus Meister, MD of our partner factory360, was honored as Most Inspiring New Member. Alfons Gnan, Head of R&D, received the prestigious FEFCO Lifetime Achievement Award. We also brought a taste of home with Corruverse-branded beer and hosted our traditional customer event featuring culinary delights, music, and a stunning video mapping experience.
