🍎 "Hand in hand for better foods and a better future" – the theme of this year's World Food Day on October 16, ties in perfectly with one of the initiatives from Primavera e.V., an association founded by Bosch associates that funds over 50 projects in education, medical care, and access to healthy nutrition for young people worldwide. Did you know that in Indonesia, 12% of children live below the poverty line and suffer from malnutrition? Zata Bening Awanis, communications expert at Bosch and a long-time volunteer for social causes, decided to take action. 💪 Together with the Foodbank of Indonesia and Primavera, she initiated a joint project to help. And many of her Bosch Indonesia colleagues were also excited to volunteer. Through this initiative, 105 children at three schools in Jakarta can now enjoy healthy meals twice a week and learn about the importance of nutritious food in creative ways. 🥗 Thanks to increased donations from Primavera, the largest school will also be able to start a vegetable garden. Introducing the latest addition at our Nuremberg plant, driving the future of logistics and making goods transportation more climate-friendly: a fuel-cell electric truck equipped with the Bosch fuel-cell power module! 🚛⚡ By converting hydrogen and oxygen into water and electricity, this 40-ton truck operates entirely on electric power. Using renewable hydrogen makes its powertrain fully climate-neutral. Managed by the freight forwarder Schäflein AG and rented from hylane, a specialist in emission-free trucks, the IVECO truck has a range of up to 800 kilometers and is expected to cover 12,000 kilometers per year. When a patient rests their finger on the fingertip scanner, the result appears on the display in less than 30 seconds. ⏱️ After an initial focus on India, Vivaray is set to expand to Asia-Pacific and European markets in the coming years. Additionally, the Vivaray team is continuously enhancing the device.
