Rolling up our sleeves for biodiversity! 💚 In september, our Sustainability Ambassadors from across the CEWE Group gathered in Oldenburg for two workshop days—first to align on future strategy and joint cooperation then to put plans into action. With support from Artenglück, we: 👉 created two wildflower meadows 👉 built a raised-bed edible “snack” garden 👉 assembled birdhouses The result is a visible, everyday contribution to biodiversity on our campus that colleagues can enjoy and observe. Huge thanks to the Artenglück team for the great collaboration! Our Sustainability Ambassadors come from all across Europe, representing many parts of the CEWE Group. Welcome, Sirka Hintze! Starting today Sirka Hintze is taking over the role of Chief Financial Officer at the CEWE Group. She has been a member of the management board since June and has spent the last ten weeks getting to know the various teams and their sites, as well as familiarizing herself with all aspects of our business. We are delighted to welcome such an experienced and competent colleague to our executive team. With her expertise and fresh perspective, she will play a key role in shaping the successful further development of our company.   At the same time, it is time to say farewell to Olaf Holzkämper. 🌳Making sustainability grow visibly 🌳 In June, we once again presented the CEWE Supplier Sustainability Award, which recognises our partners' special commitment to sustainable business practices. This year, we warmly congratulate Schmidt GmbH and UPM Communication Papers on receiving the award! 🏅 👉 Schmidt GmbH impressed the jury for the second time with its ongoing commitment to social and environmental responsibility – including the use of FSC®-certified wood (C101851), advanced waste management and the reuse of production residues to reduce emissions. 👉 UPM Communication Papers received the award for the first time. The company convinced the jury with its comprehensive measures to improve environmental and resource efficiency along the entire value chain. As a visible sign of our joint path towards greater sustainability, the ‘Sustainability Avenue’ is growing on our Oldenburg site – with each award-winning partner, a tree is added.
