ENERCON strengthens local identity and sustainable energy in Taiwan ENERCON, in partnership with Shinfox Energy, has implemented a new wind energy project in Taiwan that goes far beyond power generation. Three state-of-the-art E-115 EP3 E3 turbines with a hub height of 92 metres have been installed. 👏 A standout feature of the project is the artistic design of one turbine, painted with traditional motifs from the Dacheng Township community. Dragon and lion dances, temples, and regional agriculture – including cabbage, peanuts, and ducks – are depicted, symbolising the region’s heritage and identity. ENERCON and Biome cooperate to explore noise reduction technology At HUSUM Wind, ENERCON and Canadian cleantech pioneer Biome Renewables signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore the integration of Biome’s innovative FeatherEdge serration technology on ENERCON wind turbines. 🎯 The goal: Reduce turbine noise, especially at noise-sensitive sites, and enhance the long-term value of wind energy assets. 🔬 First tests in Germany, in collaboration with ENERCON customer Schierloh Engineering, show promising results. 🚀 Next step: Validating FeatherEdge on the E-160 EP5 platform with comprehensive acoustic testing to IEC standards. 📣 Jörg Scholle, CTO ENERCON: “Initial tests in close cooperation between Biome and our customer Schierloh Engineering in Germany indicate that further acoustical advantages for noise sensitive sites could be possible with this technology. 🎉 Successful trade fair presence at Husum Wind 2025! 🎉 An eventful week at the fair comes to an end. From September 16 to 19, our team presented ENERCON as a solution provider and enabler for the green energy ecosystem – the first time with our new brand design. For both novelties we received a lot of positive feedback. 💬 "Our repositioning attracted great interest from customers and partners," ENERCON CEO Udo Bauer concludes with satisfaction. "The strong customer response shows that we’re on the right track to contribute to building a connected renewable energy system together with our customers in the next phase of the energy transition." 🤝 The strong customer interest was also evident during the get-together on Thursday evening: Numerous customers gathered at our booth to exchange ideas with our team in a relaxed atmosphere and round off the busy day at the fair. 📣 ENERCON CCO Uli Schulze Südhoff sums up a successful fair week for our team: "We’re very pleased with how the week at the fair went. 🌬️ Day three of Husum Wind 2025! We are looking forward to another exciting day at the trade fair with engaging conversations and open exchanges with interested parties, customers, and partners. 🤝💬 One of yesterday’s highlights was the handover of the certificate German Type Approval for the hybrid steel tower (HST) with 162m hub height for our flagship model E-175 EP5. TÜV Süd, acting as the certifier, officially handed over the certificate today.
