Pioneering Renewable Energy: Successful €94 Million Refinancing of Zamość & Ziębice PV Projects in Poland “We are pleased to announce the successful refinancing of our 175 MWp Polish operational photovoltaic (PV) assets comprising the Zamość and Ziębice projects. With a total volume of around PLN 400 million (approx. 94 million EUR), this transaction stands out as one of the largest renewable energy refinancings completed in Poland to date.   This refinancing was made possible by the dedicated work of our local ib vogt team, who successfully optimised project revenues and operating costs. It marks a key milestone in the lifecycle of the projects, enabling us to optimise the capital structure, reduce financing costs, and enhance returns for our stakeholders. Planning Consent Granted for Manor Farm Solar Project   We’re delighted to announce that Planning Consent has been officially granted for the Manor Farm Solar Project, a key initiative that marks another significant step forward in our commitment to delivering clean, low-impact energy infrastructure for the UK. Located on 39.1 hectares at Manor Farm, south of Church Lane and west of Raven Lane, Felkirk, Wakefield - with grid connection at the adjacent Monckton Substation - this solar farm will generate up to 30MWac of renewable electricity. That’s enough to power around 11,400 households annually!   Environmental impact sits at the heart of the project: - Expected to displace approximately 28,347 tonnes of CO₂ per year, equivalent to removing roughly 4,844 petrol cars from UK roads. Extensive Biodiversity Net Gain: - 64.40% increase in habitat units - 43.14% increase in hedgerow units - 27.33% increase in watercourse units - Sensitive design features with off-sets from public highways, leisure corridors, and protected structures, in addition to areas specifically dedicated to biodiversity enhancement.   Beyond environmental benefits, Manor Farm Solar is also a positive boost for the local economy: - Substantial direct investment - New construction jobs during build-out, with operational roles to follow - Ongoing local benefits, including approximately £56,600 each year in business rates over the project’s 40-year lifespan   We’re grateful for the expertise, cooperation, and valuable input from our partners, stakeholders, and the local community, all of whom have contributed to making this milestone possible. This marks a major milestone: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗯 𝘃𝗼𝗴𝘁 𝗨𝗞 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁, a significant achievement for our growing UK pipeline. The 1.7-hectare site is located off Westfield Road in Rothwell, Wakefield, and has undergone extensive redesign to respond to local input and planning feedback. We’re proud to share that ib vogt has reached financial close for the 99 MWp Tantangan #solar power project in South Cotabato, backed by PHP 4.49 billion (USD 80 million) in green financing from HSBC. As our second project in Mindanao, this plant will bring clean energy to over 82,000 households and cut more than 66,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. It’s also a strong step forward in our commitment to accelerating the clean energy transition in the #Philippines, one of our key markets in #Asia. 👟𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 – 𝗶𝗯 𝘃𝗼𝗴𝘁 𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱🌆 The ib vogt team laced up their shoes and stepped into the heart of Berlin for the 𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, a 7-kilometer journey blending team building, culture, and community. Organised with care by Ellen Feigl, EIT, Giulia Melilli, and Şevval Aday, the evening walk led colleagues through Berlin’s iconic Mitte district, from 𝗡𝗶𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗼𝗺, 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿. With water views, green spaces, and historic landmarks at every turn, it was a route that told a story, and brought us closer together. 🍦 A quick stop for ice cream (yes, it's tradition!) and a warm dinner at Zollpackhof wrapped up the evening with shared laughs and great conversations. The Pato solar farm is now generating approximately 𝟮𝟭𝟱 𝗚𝗪𝗵 of clean electricity annually, which is enough energy to power over 𝟱𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 and prevent more than 𝟰𝟳,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗢𝟮 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 each year. With a long-term PPA in place and bifacial tracking technology on site, the project is designed for both stability and efficiency. Meet a few of the many women making an impact at ib vogt: Hannieneth Cortez, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗩 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿, 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 Hannieneth began her journey with us in 2023 as a Junior PV Engineer right after completing her professional licensure. She has always enjoyed math and science, leading her to a STEM-focused high school and, eventually, an engineering degree. Today she’s a proud advocate for women in construction. She believes that we need to break stereotypes and let women believe they belong in the field, too. Micaela Patricia Delgado Aumala, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿, 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 Micaela was drawn to math and technical drawing during school, with strong encouragement from her father and uncle. Today, she advocates for visible female leadership at all levels, including on the board of directors, to send a powerful message that success is possible for women in technical roles. She also recommends workplace flexibility for mothers, access to childcare, and more networking opportunities for women. Sabela Arenas López, 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗩 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿, 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻 Both of Sabela’s parents are engineers, and their technical discussions at home sparked her interest in science. The growing field of solar energy in Spain steered her toward renewable engineering. Today, she believes we’re heading in the right direction for equality but emphasized that diversity needs to be embedded from childhood through education, and there must be an increased visibility of female role models in science. She also highlighted the need to broaden the definition of engineering to better reflect its diversity and encourage more women into all facets of the field. These women remind us that engineering isn’t just about solving technical problems, it’s about shaping the future.
