Since many of you enjoyed our last post about one of the historic buildings on our factory premises in Heidenheim, we’re introducing another one: the “Villa Eisenhof”! 🏛️ In 1900, company owner Friedrich Voith had the Villa Eisenhof built as the new residence for him and his family – a home befitting his role as an industrial pioneer and factory owner. Today, this historic building at the heart of our Heidenheim site serves as a venue for welcoming valued guests and partners, holding meetings, and hosting sponsor events, among other things. The house also features several guest rooms, which are occasionally used by members of the #Voith family themselves. And even Dr. Angela Merkel, Germany’s former Chancellor (2005-2021), was welcomed at the Eisenhof in 2010. More than 120 years after its construction, the Villa Eisenhof remains an integral part of our Heidenheim site – and a living symbol of Voith’s enduring heritage and history that continues to inspire our path forward.

Today is World Mental Health Day – an occasion that reminds us that mental health is a key challenge for societies and companies worldwide. According to the WHO, one in eight people live with a mental illness. In Germany, mental illnesses are responsible for 17.4% of all days lost due to illness, according to DAK-Gesundheit, making them one of the top three causes of absenteeism. At #Voith, we promote mental health through flexible working models, health services, discrete consultation offerings, and training in mindfulness and resilience. But what really matters is how we interact with each other on a daily basis: respectfully, openly, and supportively. Happy 23rd Anniversary, KinderVilla! 🎂 For more than two decades, our in-house daycare center has supported Voith employees in harmonizing their careers with family life. 45 children of #Voith employees between the ages of one and six can play, learn, and grow here every day – guided by a great team of educators. As a family-owned company, we are committed to offering our colleagues at our headquarters in Heidenheim, Germany, better options for balancing work and family life through this facility. A big thank you to all our colleagues who ensure that our youngest Voithians have a secure and welcoming environment every single day. 💙

Voith supported the para-equestrian athletes of the Ugenhof Riding Club – a heartfelt initiative suggested by our colleague Mona Feth, Order Manager at Voith Paper, who has been volunteering there for five years. At RSG Ugenhof in Heidenheim, Germany, people with and without disabilities learn to ride and care for horses together. The horse becomes a shared foundation for connection, trust, and mutual respect – breaking down barriers naturally. Thanks to the donation, key expenses for participating in the Special Olympics State Games in Heilbronn were covered – with outstanding results: 🏅 10 Gold medals 🥈 8 Silver medals 🥉 3 Bronze medals …plus qualification for the National Special Olympics 2026 in Saarland! This is a powerful example of how volunteer commitment and targeted support can create real social impact. 🌍 Discover #VoithWorldwide! Let’s head to Crailsheim, Germany – home of Voith Turbo Industry since 1956. 🏭 Today, the site spans 138,000 m² (about 19 soccer fields) and delivers a broad portfolio in drive technology: from variable speed drives, gear units, hydrodynamic couplings, to hydraulic components, actuators and governors, SafeSet and Highflex couplings, as well as motors and generators. At our site, our colleagues dedicate their full attention to our customers – every single day of the year. 🎓 Growth starts here too: our on-site Training Center supports the next generation of talent, like apprentice Joscha Kern, who began his professional life with #Voith in 2024. 💡 Did you know that Crailsheim has a major local event, in which our colleagues recently took part? Lots of highlights, fun, and new experiences awaited our new dual students during their introduction week at #Voith ✨👀 They took part in team-building exercises, went on a trip to Garching to visit Voith HySTech, explored a paper machine in Schongau, and visited the Walchensee hydroelectric plant. The week wrapped up with PC training and an etiquette seminar, preparing them perfectly for their future careers. 🎓 Happy to have you at #TeamVoith! 🎉

🌊 #Rivers are vital lifelines – they sustain ecosystems, support communities, enable transport, and provide renewable energy. Yesterday’s World Rivers Day reminded us once more of their central importance. At #Voith, we have been working with the power of water for more than 150 years. Our focus today is on developing technologies that help generate clean energy while reducing impacts on nature. One example: our StreamDiver. This turbine has been designed especially for small hydropower plants with the goal of minimizing constructional effort and peripheral equipment, while generating renewable energy.
