Take a look at these #bee-autiful images! 🐝 They are captured with an electron microscope and colorized in post-production and reveal the stunning details of one of summer's most important creatures. Did you know that at least 30 percent of the crops we eat depend on pollination by bees? 🌼🍓 Without them, many of our favorite fruits and vegetables simply wouldn't exist. Let's take a closer look this summer and celebrate these tiny heroes among the blooms! © Stefan Meichtry & Langley Anderson ZEISS Microscopy #ZEISS #Microscopy #Summer

Happy #InternationalDayofFriendship! 🫶🏼 This picture shows the connections between HeLa #cells, an eternal cell line. Stained to reveal their intricate forms (🔵DNA, 🟢microtubules and 🔴F-actin), these cellular networks remind us of something wonderfully familiar: the strong bonds of friendship. This image was captured using ZEISS Airyscan and reveals the invisible networks that connect and sustain life, while also showcasing the power of cutting-edge microscopy. What matters most to you in your friendships? 📸 Courtesy of A. Politi, J. Jakobi and P. Lenart from the MPI for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen, Germany, 2019. From EUV to High-NA-EUV lithography: extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) was long considered visionary and technically unfeasible. Now, EUV is crucial in enabling complex architectures for various applications like GenAI. With High-NA-EUV, we are entering a new era of innovation. This next-generation lithography promises enhanced resolution and efficiency. High-NA-EUV will pave the way for even smaller, faster and more powerful microchips from semiconductor manufacturers. We’re excited to see the potential of EUV and High-NA-EUV unfold for the next breakthroughs in computing power! ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology #ZEISS #Digitalization #Semiconductor

Have you heard of the Bayer test? 🤔 It's one of the stress tests our ZEISS lenses undergo to ensure highest quality. Picture a lens exposed to 600 shakes with a custom blend of Alundum – tiny, sharp-edged particles engineered to simulate extreme conditions during the lifetime of a lens. This high-intensity workout compares our lens with premium coating to a control lens with standard coating, testing their scratch and abrasion resistance. 🛡️ These properties are then quantified by a scattered light measurement. Hereby, the less the light scatters, the greater the evidence for high scratch and abrasion resistance. 💡 #ZEISS #Innovation

Today is #AIAppreciationDay. 🤖 AI is a game-changer for many sectors and microscopy is no exception. 🔬 Sample placement, focus adjustment and identification of the relevant sample areas often require elaborate manual adjustments. The ZEISS AI Sample Finder from ZEISS Microscopy automates this sequence entirely. After just seconds, scientists can access all sample areas directly and start their experiments right away. Take a look at how the AI Sample Finder reduces manual efforts in microscopy for swift experiment initiation. ⬇️ #ZEISS #AI #Microscopy
