🏅 EcoVadis Silver: ZSL among the top 15 % worldwide 👍   For the first time, Zschimmer & Schwarz GmbH & Co KG Chemische Fabriken in Lahnstein, Germany (ZSL), has undergone the internationally recognized sustainability assessment by EcoVadis and was immediately awarded Silver. This places ZSL among the top 15 % of companies assessed worldwide last year.   EcoVadis is one of the leading providers of sustainability ratings. Companies are evaluated in the categories of Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. ZSL’s strong performance right from the start shows: Sustainability is not just lip service but firmly rooted in everyday business operations and the company’s philosophy.   “As a family-owned company with a long tradition, long-term orientation is an integral part of our strategy. The Silver award confirms our commitment to acting responsibly and with a focus on the future. Many children affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine are suffering from the difficult conditions and traumatic experiences. The Amigó Foundation, a Spanish non-profit organization, teamed up with Caritas Kharkiv to convert a house on the outskirts of Kharkiv into a therapy center for children. Thinking globally, helping locally: We are happy to support the “Tennis for disabled people” section of the Altenstadt tennis club in the Alsace region of France. Multimedia tools in classrooms help children engage more actively and learn even complex material more effectively. Thanks to a donation from Zschimmer & Schwarz, School No. 16 in Poltava, Ukraine, was able to purchase five interactive whiteboards for their classrooms. Zschimmer & Schwarz has supported 50 children from disadvantaged families by providing access to education, nutritious food and a safe place to live. In collaboration with Friends-for-Hope e. V. and the Barefoot College, we have funded the Shiksha Niketan school in the Indian state Rajasthan. Zschimmer & Schwarz is happy to announce that, thanks to our donation, a defibrillator could be installed in the village square of Moransengo in the province of Asti, Italy. An ambulance takes around 30 minutes to reach the small town in the Monferrato hills which has become increasingly popular with hiking groups and cyclists in recent years.
