To coincide with the IAA MOBILITY 2025, Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is turning the A94 into a real-world lab for future traffic technologies. 🛠️ C-ITS Roadshow  Take a passenger seat and experience intelligent safety use cases such as construction zone and emergency vehicle warnings – live on the highway. These connected solutions can significantly increase road safety across Germany. 🚗 The demonstration rides will be offered from Monday, September 8 to Thursday, September 11, 2025, starting and ending at the Test Drives departure point at the IAA Summit 🤖 Level 3 & 4 Autonomous Driving Zone  For the first time, the A94 will feature a dedicated operational area for autonomous driving between Kreuz München Ost and the city junction.  Explore the latest in L3/L4 driving with vehicles from Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and others. 🚗Automated driving available to millions of private drivers is the aim of our colleagues from CARIAD together with Bosch Mobility. Now, they are making automated driving even safer with AI 💪. Working together in the Automated Driving Alliance, they have created a software stack, which should lead to more powerful and intelligent driver assistance systems acting as naturally as a human driver. 👉The stack will be available from mid-2026 onward, with plans to integrate Bosch and CARIAD’s automated driving functions into the Volkswagen Group's new architecture for software-defined vehicles. Peter Bosch, CEO of CARIAD, says: "We're demonstrating that the German automotive industry has mastered the key technologies of artificial intelligence and automated driving. In the Automated Driving Alliance with CARIAD, we’re building AI-powered software for automated driving systems. To handle high-quality vehicle data, we require a strong data management system. Therefore, our joint team ensures that all vehicle data is quality-controlled, efficiently structured, and easily findable using natural language. This allows for quick identification, crucial for AI model training, issue analysis, and automated testing. Dr. Simon Munder from Bosch and Prashant Narula from CARIAD share more insights into how our data management process works.

Personally, I find it alarming that such a proposal, with so little substance and content, has made it to a vote in the committees. One can only hope that the members will not all abstain or wave it through without careful consideration." The US proposal for an ISO-level interoperability standard for mobile robots, ISO proposal 21423 (ISO/TC 299 WG 10), has raised many questions and criticisms among European mobile robotics suppliers.
